The Cat In The Corner.

By Tooma
Yesterday we had a lovely visitor who dropped in, literally, over the garden fence, as we were busy with some work. We had seen her once before, and she seemed on the shy side, so this time we pretended to ignore her. She then set about exploring the garden, coming quite close to Mo, but not paying her any attention.

Meanwhile, I had fetched my camera from the house, and managed to get several nice shots of her. She relaxed enough to have a drink of water and do a spot of grooming before going up, over, and away, having continued to ignore us, apart from the occasional glance.

There are two images of the same shot presented; the lead shot is the one I have processed, and the V is by MO. Her thinking was, "I went for an "illustrated" or painted look. I think it looks sweet, like a picture I would have loved to hang on my wall when I was a bairn. I was hoping to add another feature, that the cat was looking at. But I don't have any butterflies or winged beasties images.".

We never discussed how we were going to edit the pic. Looks like we were both inspired by the direction of her gaze as to how we would express the light.

Both very nice indeed; the lighting is superb. Just prefer the richness of the version by a short head.

I like the upward look as if waiting for something. The other version I find has warmer lighting.

The light is well considered-- what a charming cat!
Both images are Superb but for me the second image has that edge that I like.
