.............of anything coming fom Mars are a million to one they said. At 5:30am on the 7th of October, a huge mass of luminous gas erupted from Mars that sped toward Earth across two hundred million miles of void. Invisibly hurtling toward us came the first missile that was to bring so much calamity and as we watched, there were three other jets of gas, more missiles starting on their way ...................
Whilst working on this image of the shelter at Cambois, Jef Wayne's War of the worlds began to play from my playlist and during Richard Burtons narrative the idea of blending in the gas plumes and the couple came to mind, here's the result. ...........It all started with a loom of light on the horizon (which has been left in).
By the way the "couple" in the blend are in fact a sculpture by Sean Henry that lies offshore at Newbiggin in Northumberland. I've used them in a few other images that reside in my gallery on Ephotozine....... they never complain (or move)!!
The blending is starting to come along nicely and am looking forward in getting some new material to work on. Heaven knows what ideas I'll come up with !!
I try not to emulate the work of others keeping to my own style. Wether or not it'll work remains to be seen, time will tell.
