I think that little off-centeredness is just right. If it had been perfectly aligned, it wouldn't look as good.
The large marble at the top looks as if it's laughing at your attempts to "roll these flippin' round glass things into submission"

love this interpretation of the word, and love the green colours too works so well. I wonder how it would look upside down, just to be really confusing ohhhh and a little tip to stop the marbles moving, cut a small piece of bubble wrap, burst the bubble and the ridges allow the marbles to sit still and you can't see the bubble wrap

It's actually a piece of black acrylic, and I used a light tent and natural light coming in from both above (via a polycarb roof) and from the right ... The lighter 'circle' of light is actually a 28-LED oblong torch, held in one hand while tripping the shutter with a cable release with the other
