The City in the roots

By annettep38
Thanks you all so much for your kind comments on the tiny moth. Glad you liked it although it was not perfect.

Here is something totally different. As a rule, I never take pictures of other people's artwork, unless asked to do so. Here the art became part of nature and it was a challenge to get a good picture of it. I felt that my picture would provide another aspect of this particular exhibit, I hope for your critical comments.

No 2 shows the artist putting everything in place, no3 is a bw conversion for Gareth.

This was part of a show in La Rochelle's botanical garden. I liked this work of art best, much better than photos of dead insects.

What a neat little city -- very nicely captured by you. Thanks for including the narrative (and the artist). This is quite interesting.

PS The "multi roots" mode seems to work well.

Annette, a great set, I like v3 as to my eye it looks more in keeping with the tone of the Artwork and allowing the natural light to look more balanced......very nice work here.

Three interesting images, each full with their own unique charm and character. The artwork itself lends its self to much interpretation, however the monochrome image needs little or no explanation or understanding. It is what it is, a very carefully crafted and processed piece, which instantly makes one think.

Hi Annette

Firstly, I think that your french studies are several years ahead of mine and that I probably used the wrong word in my picture title.

Secondly the prospect of lots of pastaga sounds very tempting despite all the frimeuses.

Finally, this is excellent reportage. Keep up the reports from abroad Smile for all those of us stuck at home Sad

PS. I was tempted to do this all in French, but by the time I had finished you would have been back home. Wink

I thought these were homes especially built for insects at first, it looks like you've landed in Lilliput!Wink
