The Clamp

By chase
Some of the things I found in my Dads workshop.
What is in the bottles or that can, heaven knows, particularly the smaller, dark bottle, I dread to think !

A 3 frame HDR image combined in Lightroom, finished with a few tweaks in Photoshop.
Lit from behind the bottles by 2 small handheld LED lights with a touch of daylight camera left for good measure Wink
Yep, it's dark but I like the effect of the LEDs on the liquid contents of the bottles.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Janet xx

Nice oily engineering still-life Janet. I particularly like the glow given to the bottle contents by the backlighting. Well composed and arranged with a virtual diagonal from the red oil can to the top of the G-clamp, and how the two oil cans frame the bottles. Plus of course super lighting.

Too much can spoil any image - to me, Janet, there is an excellent picture to be viewed - should the clamp and its tin were to be removed - in fact, these two items on their own would make another picture.

There's a great temptation to clear out old stuff, but your wonderful still-life images make us think we should hang on to them 👍 I have somewhere a clamp like that, if I were to find it, it's probably gained as much rust as this! 😃
