The Cobbler

By trekpete
A shot of myself atop the summit block on Ben Arthur, more commonly called The Cobbler. My 4th time on this fine mountain and 3rd time on the summit block. You crawl through a rock arch called Argyll's Eyeglass and scramble up a narrow ledge to reach the top. This was once a test of manhood for Campbell chiefs. Ben Lomond can be seen in the background.

A fine capture Pete. Its good to see the photographer has captured Ben lomond in the background, a shot only possible when you have a fine clear day.
This shot would not have been possible 4 hours before because of the mist.

A great shot to add to you album of mountain summits.

Richie.

So interesting to see it, seen it from the road many a time, one day I might clambour up to its grand heights Smile
