The colour pink

By mrswoolybill
Generally I don't do flowers, and I definitely don't do pink, but I make an exception for hellebores.
They're awkward blighters, they grow close to the soil and face downwards. I lay flat on the mud across one of the front gardens at the Town, Beamish Museum, for this. Fortunately I carry a black plastic bin-liner in my camera bag for such eventualities.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Perfectly captured, Moira, it's such a shame that these beautiful blooms hang their heads down. I'm sure many people have never admired their inner beauty. Carol

Lovely Moira. Yes flowers can be awkward blighters. Yesterday I was at Durham Botanics trying to capture blossom. It would notstay still for me. Today I'm going with a pal to the very spot you took this! Have a good one....F

There were three other ePHOTOzine members present but they all missed the opportunity. Now I wouldn't have done... Wink
Cheers folks. I have another shock to come for Easter Sunday, I have been photographing cute ickle lambkins. (Bad-tempered, sour-faced little brats actually... ) It's spring madness, it won't last.

A delightful aberration of your usual style. I find hellebores fascinating.

They are such a challenge - Nick took a shot of me in my pyjamas in the garden early today trying to capture the morning light, hanging upside down to achieve a similar shot of hellebores - the right light is so fleetingBlush
The light and detail is very, very good.

Now Moira,
you know it is not flowers that I like to see for a bit of pink subject matter.
However, that is not to say your shot is pants though !!

You took one for the team, Moira. And I am glad for that as it means I don't have to do it myself. I can merely refer to yours.
I trust this pink flowery stuff is a mere glitch in the matrix, and that normal service will soon be resumed - and especially before you visit Norway...
