The colour red part 1

By mrswoolybill
One more from from Dunston Staiths.
The wooden structure has weathered to a gentle grey. I was interested in the possibilities for a sort of natural selective colour composition.
I have another shot, taken just seconds later. That will appear some time...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

This would be hilarious if it were a bridge over a railway. Wink

Great view point and a dog as a bonus.

Doggedly walking the dog.

'Walking the dog' does have various meanings, sneaking out for a crafty pint without the wife knowing, a trick with a yo-yo, and a technique for retrieving a surface (top water) fishing lure. Other meanings are also available...check out Urban Dictionary.

There at just the right time, Moira, and the figure in red too! Wouldn't have had the same impact if he'd been wearing a different colour 👍

Good composition using the three red colour objects. How long did you wait for a red jacket coming past or was he paid to appear?

Thanks folks, we are just back from a Grand Day Out on the Settle / Carlisle line.
How long did I have to wait? I didn't, I had to hurry into position and grab the camera before the man disappeared! This was very much a grab shot.
