The Curbar Knuckles

By sherlob
5/52

Into my second month of my 1/52 project and my first trip to Curbar Edge. Itís been on the to-do list for years, and this goes to show that a 1/52 project can galvanise one into action. Great location (as the many images on epz will evidence), but today the light wasnít all I hoped for. Still I tried to do the best I could with what I had and Iím pleased with the result. Had a good scout around whilst there and have a few less traditional view points in mind for a return visit. This view is popular, and when there I was struck how the foreground rocks reminded me of the bones within a hand - hence the title.

It's a walk that I know and love, in all weather. This has the open, exposed rawness.
For me this view is always about the foreground - it's what you hang on to when the wind is blowing.

Rugged countryside. Great place to twist an ankle, I feel. Looks like a perfect place to spend quality time with oneself.
