Still life with dark depth. Most languages refer to the genre as 'nature morte', dead nature, which often seems more apposite.
I like this very much, but would love it if you balanced it out with a counterpart ‘The day the light returned’ 🌟 The skill here is excellent but the energy just too dark on its own. You create fine work.
Everything is finite and runs out of time.

Hey! Good to see you back. I thought of you this very morning as I struggled with a complex image. I was trying to move existing flowers on to a different vase for a commission!!

Good to see your work again, Janet. A very sombre and symbolic still life , the generally dark tone nicely sets off the blue sand in the timer, and I like how the elements of your arrangement all lead into the finished sand pile of the timer.
