The Dining Room at Skeldale House

By Hurstbourne
23 Kirkgate, Thirsk, North Yorkshire is now a museum but was where Mr. J.A. Wight ran a veterinary practice alongside Mr. D V. Sinclar. Alf Wight is the world-famous author of the famous James Herriot books. As well as being Alf’s dining room, this room was also the practice office. On the left is a smoked oak hand-built sideboard which was a fond favourite of Alf’s wife Joan and nearly all the furniture belonged to the family.

Interior shots are notoriously difficult in this image you have to get the angles right and this you have done beautifully.
I particularly liked the half shot of the table to the right this holds the image together your attention to detail spot on.

Superb image
