The early days remembered

By Arvorphoto
More from the theme of small trains.......

After a day and a half of cloud finally there was a break in the cloud

The Talyllyn Railway
A scene reminiscent of the 1880's with a mixed train approaching Quarry Sidings with No.1 Talyllyn leading No.2 Dolgoch

I am lucky to have this feature in the 2019 Talyllyn Railway calendar.

And as always, thank you to those who have taken the time to look, vote, comment and give their awards.
Please feel free to offer critique. Another viewpoint is always welcome

A great shot with everything in the right place, including vibrant light on the train and the pretty hillside, copious smoke, trackside detail and the two figures looking at the camera. Congratulations on having this selected for the calendar, a matter of photographic skill as well as luck, I'd say.

Thank you for your kind words Bob.
It was a challenge with lens flare particularly due to the position of the sun.

A lovely classic Talyllyn shot. I love that line and have fired both those locos on many occasions as a volunteer.
