The empties

By saltireblue
Well, soon to be empties.Wink

This is one of the first attempts with the macro lens santa kindly gave me this xmas.

Haven't been on here much lately, lots of good things happening in my life at the moment has meant photography has had to take a bit of a back seat.

Many thanks for popping in.

Malc

Like it. But do you have a Before version of this image? And will we see the After version or just have to imagine it?
Always good to experiment, Malc.

Uploaded 25 minutes ago and already Featured E2 Photograph. What it is to have status...
Very nicely controlled, dark without being gloomy. As empties could easily be... And hints of a much bigger picture.
You too have a new macro lens... I suspect that yours will be rather heavier than our new 40mm, which I am having fun with. Though somehow I can't really imagine any of us getting into bugs and creepy-crawlies too soon.
Good to see you around here again,
Moira

Always good to hear that a friend has been enjoying some good times.
Your lens is one of the very best Malc, lots of fun too, I have the Zeiss version and enjoy using it wide open or there abouts, good effects can be had by not being sharp all the way through an image.

Have fun and don't forget us.

Within the confines of a photograph is probably the safest place to be if you're intent on mixing Gin and Whisky.

Beautifully balanced semi-abstract, Malc.
