The End Result.......

By Philpot
.......well this is it, I went to the Outer Hebrides just before lockdown and for me a real privilege to visit an amazing location, I have wanted to visit this place for the last few years, once there it was beyond my wildest dreams, a truly magnificent island that you could never tire of if you love seascape photography, just a paradise!

This for me was some of my most satisfying photography and I was so elated with the images i captured that I just had to get them printed in some form and hung on my landing room wall, after much deliberation I opted for framed canvases.

The image on the right is a a 60" x 20" framed canvas of Dalamore Beach where we spent a full day, it's my favourite image from my weeks photographic holiday, and on the left is another framed canvas 36" x 20" image of the small beach just south of Borve taken on our last day. The small beach presents such a vast amount of compositions from sunrise to sunset that you would run out of time trying to capture them.....how he managed to get in on the picture is beyond meTongue

Great image and the leading lines of the pictures always work well with a main subject when using a wide angle lens.

The pictures themselves I would proud to have hanging on my wall. The problem is mine are never that good.

Looks great.
Photographers can never have too much wall space. I treat my dining room, guest room, office and hall/stairs/landing as an exhibition area, prints arrive after public exhibitions and stay for a while but not permanently, we change them as the mood takes us.

It adds a dimension to see the end of the process - and it's fantastic to see images on a wall, too! More people should do this.

The long one on the RHS side looks stunning on that wall. You look (quite rightly), proud as punch!Tongue
