The Eve of St Agnes

By Acancarter
Poetry Wednesday?? .. we had to study this poem at school but were not taught about its erotic meaning ...otherwise I'd have paid much more attention...

.....she slept an azure-lidded sleep ... and he brought forth.... apple, quince, and plum and gourd... John Keats, The Eve of St Agnes. At the time it would have had an 18 label (he had to tone it down to get it published).

I had prepared this in the autumn for the 20th January (St Angnes Eve) but forgot all about it.
