The Evesdroppers

By davidbailie
.....Heraklion Crete......initially thought of B&W then Sepia (did copies of each) - but then went with the colour - deliberately keep the colours reasonably low key to go with the mood

????

I've included a sepia version of this in the mods sections - it has quite different emphesis

Strangely enough the graffiti makes the image
which I suppose can be a form of vandalism!
May be the man is in sympathy with the architechture...

Great shot. I like the lines and colors in it. Its has a layered feeling that is very nice. I think you made a good choice in not going B&W since the grafitti adds to the image. I also like the fact that the person has brown behind him.

Thanks all - and thanks Kaitie for the mod - I contemplated the crop of the water and indeed it compacts the shot - but somehow he's lost in thought staring at the water much as we would stare at a fire so I think the water is part of the shot- in addition I was trying to decentralising him vertically a bit - because the shot is cropped - I took some of the top off - but thanks for the input
