The Exeter Canal circa 1966

I took this from a wooden swing bridge across the Exeter Canal early one Sunday moring in either '66 or '67 I think it was about February time, I'm not sure.

I really like the idea of this shot but it doesn't wow me in its entirity. I wonder if a square composition loosing the rhs would work better?

I would love to see the same view taken now! I bet it looks totally different. I think I may have cropped a small amount off both left and right. The brightly coloured boat really makes the difference in this shot.

OI like this as it is Dave. I certainly wouldn't have guessed this shot is 40 years old. Did your grandfather take it?

No, not my grandfather; I took this shot myself with an Edixa Prismatt SLR 50mm lens and Ferrania Film 50 ASA which was transparency film that I developed in my own darkroom. I'm sorry I cannot remember the shutter speed and aperature settings after such a long time.
