The Extra (Half) Mile

By conrad
This spot is in between yesterday's location and the famous spot near the Glen Etive road. So not quite as far, hence the adapted title. (And it's not really half a mile, I suppose - that's just a symbolic title, but you knew that, really, didn't you...)

For me this composition works better than yesterday's, while still being different from the standard Buachaille shot.

So ... tell me if you think this works!

Comments and mods welcome, as always!

Another great shot, but I think I prefer yesterdays.

I think the composition is much better in this Conrad, but the blown sky spoils it a bit for me and also there is either some flare or a bright streak across the mountain caused by the sun. Could perhaps benefit from a little more contrast as well.

Sorry to sound so negative, but I know you appreciate honest feedback.

Hey, no need to be sorry - if no one tells me, how am I to find out?

One always looks differently at his own images than at someone else's and I try to use that to my advantage on EPZ. I really do need others to tell me what's wrong.

Well, I have some ideas. One is combining a few exposures that I took in succession. Watch this space (but don't hold your breath...).

Thanks, Neil!
