The Flight of the Earls

By Andrew_Hurley
The link below (Wikipedia) explains the historic background of the Flight of The Earls in much detail but the story dates back to 1600, which explains the number 400 in the mural, which probably dates this mural back to the turn of the millennium (celebrating 400 years of the Prince of Tyrconnell going into Exile). The paint looked very fresh and vibrant.

Please note this picture and others of the murals in my portfolio were taken in and around Ardoyne Avenue, Belfast, (off Old Park Road - The B502) where many of the Belfast Murals can be found, nearby Havana Way and Brompton Park (by Jamaica Street) is where you can find some others.

All comments, very welcome indeed.

Thanks for looking,

Great paint that lasts 400 years Andrew. No wonder this is a cracking shot.
