The Folly

Folly Tower stands proudly above Pontypool. A folly that was built in the 18th century, it was dismantled during the Second World War in order to prevent German bombers using it as a navigational beacon. It was rebuilt in the 1990's.
Winter is the time to shoot a sunrise, but I was disappointed with the lack of detail in the sky today. I'll be back after my next night shift.

Lovely shot, Dave. I once taught on the Welsh medium comp in Trevethin so I know the place well.
