The Forth

By Landlord
The upper reaches of the River Forth as it passes through Aberfoyle. This is about 100mtrs from the pub..... when all this snow starts to melt it will probably be In the Inn!. (sorry)

Anyway, this was last night at sunset, just had a wee wonder over, I could see the mist from the kitchen window.

Hope you like it.

Many thanks for the comments on the last upload..... Mike i'm still laughing.

A very nicely composed winter scene, Phil: I do like that hint of warm colour just on the horizon......balances the otherwise cool tones in the rest of the shot. I bet the snow there is now a lot deeper as in Glasgow this morning another two inches have fallen with no sign of a let up yet.

Ooh I like this Phil! I do hope you were on a bridge when you took this (or at the very least a sturdy set of stilts!).

A grand image!

Beautiful metallic feel to this. The colours look very natural and the tonal range is sublime. I bet you cant see any of it this morning.

Down river in Stirling, the ice has bunched up like icebergs and clogged the whole river system.

Got slammed with about 6 inches of snow this morning despite what the crappy London biased BBC had forecasted. They are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Once again, a cracking shot ...

. . . still and quiet and cold! you can feel the sense of a winter sunset here . . lovely colour scheme, reflections always catch the eye . . .I hope the Forth does not get in the Inn as you anticipate . . and I still anticipate getting in myself, snow permitting? in a few weeks

. . hope you get many more like the last one!

I agree with that feel of a winter sunset.

And I hope the Forth does not end up in the pub, I quite fancy visiting for a pint. Although it's a long way from Cornwall, Aberfoyle is on my list of places to go hiking
