These 4 charming red-robed children are part of the St. Barbe Monument in the Chapel of St. Nicholas in Romsey Abbey in Hampshire. Nicholas is the patron saint of children.
They captured my attention, and I originally thought they all had very short legs, but soon realised they were kneeling on cushions. I think they are probably all girls because the Abbey was once a nunnery.
2 versions, and I didn’t know which to lead with, I like them both.
Thank you for looking, for your interest, your comments, votes and awards on my exhaust pipes image.
Pamela.
