Interesting to compare the two, Somnath. In this version, my eye is caught by details which I did not notice in the b&w one. Details which, in my opinion, detract from the juxtaposition of the two figures and the columns which separate them. For example, the coloured details high up on the wall to the right.
So, all in all, the b&w is my preferred verdsion.

I've compared the two several times since this was uploaded. I am much more conscious of the running figure as a person here, but as Malc says the incidental colour detail in the building distracts. As colour so often does...
I'm not normally a fan of selective colour but it could be interesting here, or rather selective b&w - all colour in the columns and friezes removed (but leave the blue / grey of the walls), to increase the contrast between the architecture and the human world. Not sure if it would work...
