The Garage

The rain was pouring down so what to do ?

I thought " still life" then I thought what about next door's Garage? It is a cornucopia of goodies .

A motor engineer by trade he always has a series of "projects" none quite completed ; there is an Austin Healey or is it a Sprite? . A Wolesley ,a Mini, there is a Renault outside and the latest runner is a Scimitar. Along with this comes a need for " stuff." Stuff that I can't understand that he will try to explain and I still cant understand; manifolds , gaskets , neatly hanging tools all immaculately lined up in their proper places and with this also a distinct and rather comforting smell of oil .

For me this was several " news" too. New Lumix GX9, New Panasonic Leica 25 1.4, new raw processing suite ( on trial) Capture One ...I rather like it to be fair.......

I loved your atmospheric narrative. I felt really quite 'there' in the moment, by it. You are not only a fine photographer with an excellent 'feel' for the scene and situation, but a fine writer too. Well done. Good luck and best wishes for all your 'new', too.GrinGrinGrin

Your motor engineer neighbour sounds like a colourful character, and his garage sounds like a huge source of photographic opportunities. This one is a neat little example.
