The Girl at the Window.

By Tooma
This is not technically a good shot, artefacts showing up in post, which I have tried to make less obvious, but I like the scene a lot. Shot on my cell-phone - yea, I should have had it on HDR - not thinking straight due to hunger. Never shoot on an empty stomach.
It is one of those cheerful little seaside shop/cafes you find in coastal towns, and I particularly liked the style of this one; red, black, and grey palette, 50s based styling, with lovely chrome and black window seats in front of a red counter.
This was in Ayr, on Scotland's west coast, the county town of, yes, Ayrshire, earlier in the year.

On first viewing I thought it was an American Cafe with the chrome bar stools ! I like the fact the door is open allowing you to see outside.

American style 50s chrome and plastic makes for a cheeryness mood. She is pausing to relax and reflect on life. Very refreshing, and with feet dangling, a certain youthful freedom. TG

Sorry Tom, I'm a bit slow catching up with this one but what a treat of a find. I really like this. I'm with Nathan and Richard - the eyes go wandering around the image taking in the details of the interior and what's going on outside. All the best and thanks for your witty responses to 'Lying down on the job...' I will strive to be more earnest and serious in the future .....?.....! Smile Wink

"I will strive to be more earnest and serious in the future .....?." - Oh no Graham, not too serious, nor too earnest either, I hope.
Thanks more than a little for a much appreciated UA, it's always good when peoples get your shot.
Awrabest!
Tom. Smile
