The Grey Heron of Avon Water.

By Tooma
I shot this pic of the Grey Heron up-river from where I stood on the Old Avon Bridge - see yesterdays pic. It was a good 70 yards away, so with the settings on my camera for bracketing, I had to use digital zoom to get this close, resulting in a loss of detail; I decided to work the shot to get more of a painted look as I liked the over-all scene.

Lots of midges about up-river too - all the white spots. Smile

A great image of the heron especially the deep green surrounding it which separates it from the background.
