The Happy Prisoner

By ade_mcfade
John was thrown into jail last week for crimes against posing! He's actually written an entry in his blog about the campness of his stance!

I really do need to learn to direct people a little better....

Anyway - Granary Wharfe, a high to the Left of him and I'm pretty sure the on camera flash was switched off for this one.

Some of you may recognise this as Version 7 from yesterday's shot. Seemed quite popular so thought a public airing was appropriate - and John doesn't look like a friend of Dorothy in it for a change

Agree with comments above. He might not be smiling so much when he finds out who his new cellmate is though!

After a second look, a touch too much light on the forehead?

I don't mean blown, just a little too bright that was all.

ah - yeah, I can see what you mean.

This is a very styleised kinda shot, one lamp, prison setting, so was after high contrast look. That "one lightbulb in the cell" appearance.

fair comment though, but I did make it that bright on purpose

That style of cell door brings back memories to a former life although the 'inmate' looks a little too relaxed for realism!!!! One lamp to a cell, obviously in secure wall/ceiling mounted fitting or otherwise far too dangerous....

Well he certainly looks a bit cool hanging round those bars. That's definitely a knowing look on his face.
