The Honeypot

By bromley-smith
Hi folks, the mini break turned out to be a soggy break. Still, better than work.

This is my one and only serious attempt at "photography", taken from my hotel bedroom window. After beautiful weather up the motorway on Sunday, we turned left and hit rain and more rain. Didn't stop till 3pm on Monday. As I said, better than work.

Thought the mono conversion suited this shot. Nice to be back, lot of catching up to do. Thanks for all your votes on Napoleon and friends, always very much appreciated.

Tony

Hawkshead is a wonderful place to stay so hope the weather didn't put you off too much . This works well in mono with the light reflecting onto the wet street etc.....Phil

That street lamp adds so much impact to the scene, both for the light reflected on the wet street and for the focal point it has in the image with the lovely light radiating from it.Alao suits the vertical format so well.
