Built in 1582 for Bess of Hardwick as a summer house and used by the ladies to watch the hounds working when hunting in the park.
Taken last Monday from a long way away utilising the 60X zoom capability of my Nikon Coolpix, hand held, hence the lack of crisp detail in the stonework
I do like how you've framed this Phil, once the trees are in full leaf this view will be nonexistent!! Lovely, detailed mono beautifully offset which compliments the Hunting Tower perfectly.
