I've owned three Alfa's and you have to enjoy the rasp of their exhaust, when accelerating. Unfortunately they used to rust a lot, plus the insurance got too costly. Your image shows an immaculate version of this model, which was outwith my price range then.

The Clarkston guy would rate you as a real driver having owned 3 Alfas, Ian. I have never owned one, had a lot of company cars, currently enjoying an old X-Type, but I did have a drive in an olive green Alfasud Cloverleaf Hatch, and I loved how it went, and stopped, great brakes - that was in the 80s. A really really good car to drive; that model, despite being a hatchback, was nice n curvy and looked stylish too. Yes, I can understand why having bought one, you would want more of the same.
