The Jam Tarts

By cimic
The Jam Tarts is the name of a coffee shop in Barrydale, Western Cape. They serve breakfasts, light lunches, cakes and of course coffee. There is a prolific vegetable garden and fruit bushes and the two lady owners make bottled jams and pickles for sale. There was not a jam tart in sight and the photographer asked the reason for the establishment's name. One lady smiled and said, "Well. we make jam, and the rest I'll leave to your imagination..." Smile
Sadly, however, this beautiful al fresco dining structure of poles and wattle no longer exists. The Jam Tarts now occupies more modern premises closer to Route 62, the main road.

Looks really good. Like the details of the goards hanging there and looks like a very inviting place! Grin

A wonderful capture. How sad it is not there anymore. Beautifully preserved here for all time though Grin
