The Jetty

By devlin
been struggling with this a bit not very sure but looks like there's a bit of a color cast....any feedback is as usual welcome...

Photo was taken on the Swakopmund Jetty its an old German town in Namibia, i think established around 1905. The shot was taken just after sunset and before pitch black....Camera was supported on a platform

Just worth mentioning that the lens i was using developed Err 01 just before i took this shot, which typically restricted the aperture to f/4

Just really needs a bit of sharpening Prabh. Using threshold and curves I noticed a very negligible shift in tone, but I wouldnt say this has a cast that doesnt belong.

Uploaded a mod with sharpening, the curves, and a crop.

Quite like this for the effect. Could be a touch sharper, but not far off. Well composed and seen. Sounds like the lens to camera communication has gone down. Try cleaning the electrical terminals on the lens with a cloth and a touch of alcohol. - medical not booze. If this is the only lens giving the error, then it is lens, not camera.

If it is the communications chip, it's a big bill. Had it with a Sigma, repair was half the price of a new lens. Might just be dirt or grease though, try the cleaning.
