The Lake District Painted

By LynneJoyce
A complete departure from my previous insectivorous documentary set, this time 15 images from my trip to Coniston treated with filters and various gimmicky, jiggery pokery processes to give painted effects. I did them because I got fed up with the TV, because playing with filters and processes extends my understanding of Photoshop and just because I can.

The opener was taken on a drive from Coniston to the coast when I found a pull in so that I could capture the magnificent stormy sky. The rest should (I hope) speak for themselves.

Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of them.

Wonderfully creative set, Lynne, and how I agree about TV!! Much better to do this.
All are excellent, v.9 reminds me of a Seurat painting Wink. Top images.

Great work Lynne - favourites V3,7,9.12 and 14.

I wonder if anybody else is experiencing trouble with CS6 (genuine copy) which now flickers ands tops working when I've done work on an image then I have to start over again.
I've been told that Adobe may not be supporting older versions of Photoshop now - seems pretty unfair to me.

Looks typical Lake District weather! Smile Great bit of playing around and jiggery-pokery, Lynne - much more exciting than a lot of the cr*p that's on telly Grin Have to go for the lead image, for that amazing dramatic sky Smile

I'm not keen on software changing photographs into paintings but V1 has a certain charm with the steam .

A fascinating set Lynne, not just for its diversity and charm, but the processing as well.
