The Last Post

Following on from yesterday's, this is a slightly different angle on the trumpeter – rather more sombre in b&w, I think.
This was taken during filming of our town's Remembrance Sunday service, for transmission online. It occurred to me that I would not have been able to get this view under normal circumstances, as I need to stand well back...
Thanks for looking,

Yes - effective in black and white Moira. I like how the 'soldier' is looking over her shoulder. Nicely composed.

A very effective image Moira. We should remember them and be grateful every day.

More sombre? Yes, and probably more suited to the occasion. Nice work, Moira.

This one works even better, Moira.
The soldier appears to be looking and listening.

I like the brooding shadow, overlooking her performance. Good capture of this occasion.

Thanks everyone. Looking over her shoulder, taking a sympathetic interest - that's how I see it.
In principle I prefer the composition here to yesterday's, but we both agreed that yesterday's has more emotional clout so that's the one going forward for a town calendar in the future.

Think this works better, being in mono there's no colour to distract the eye from the sculptured figure, which seems more dominating over the trumpeter 🎺👍
