The lone rider.

By franken
Another from Whitmore Bay in Barry.

He soon realised that cycling on really wet sand was difficult and quickly moved back in my direction.

A week today the five mile limit of movement will be lifted in Wales which will be useful. Sadly, the recent days of a heatwave resulted in this beach and many others becoming crowded and most visitors were from way outside of the travel limit. The Welsh government were not impressed and have threatened a rethink if it happens again.

I've added a colour version.

I like the mono and the composition. Who says you should not have your focal point squashed in at the bottom? It pays to be different!

Mono for me Ken. You would think he would sink in the sand. An alone kind of feeling here.

A great minimalist image, I particularly like the mono, I also like the way you composed this with the rider entering the scene from the right corner and the vast openness.
