Great action shot. The pin sharp cyclist and lovely shadow contrast beautifully with the speed-blurrred background.

Really good shot this, but didn't work in thumbnail ..... has to be viewed properly. Not an easy technique this but very well executed here.

Interesting to see how the presentation can affect the look and feel of an image. I much prefer V1 ..... I think. Lol but I quite like V2 now as well after flicking between them for a few minutes.

Works very well, conveys the feeling of the rider on his own against the clock. Where are these taken?

Hi Sarah. I was driving home from the Lakes after a VERY poor landscape session at the weekend. I came across this race on the A590 near Kendal, Cumbria so decided to change the plan for the day. My colleague at work (who races quite a bit) tells me it's one of the fastest 10 mile courses around, almost totally flat.

I used to do 'a bit' of time trialling myself many many moons ago so this jumped out from the other thumbnails straight away.

Its an exceptional image, the crop, lighting, composition and panning effect all add up to make this jump out from the normal cycling pics you'd expect to see in the mags covering the subject.

Very impressive photography

This has been a great trio of photos. I can't decide on which presentation format I prefer - I like them all!
