The Lookout

By AlfieK
Very rarely come across deer on my early morning walk. Came across this herd, most of whom are hiding in the woods behind the "Lookout". Just about had time to get a shot in before they melted away. Quality not good, as taken on pocket camera zoomed to max and the cropped. Wonderful to come across though and made my weekend.

The joy is in seeing these beautiful creatures, Alfie, don't worry about the photographic quality.

Well caught and a very good title Alfie. The slight loss of definition adds to the feeling of a long telephoto lens used in order to obtain the image in the first place. An expensive 500 mm?

That is about how it goes where I live--- We often see them sipping across our (open) field--in a great hurry--no chance for a picture!
