The Lovers

By AngelaR
'The Meeting Place' - a 30-foot bronze sculpture by Paul Day featuring two reunited lovers embracing planned to form the centrepiece of the newly-refurbished St Pancras station in London. This is right under the back wall of the station beneath the clock - the wall still being under wraps whilst being completed. It is a huge sculpture, in contrast with the life-size one of Betjeman I put up yesterday.

I will upload another angle of the statue and also the clock from further away. Again apologies for the quality - taken with Mr R's pocket digital again.

Comments, mods and crits welcome - please look large - many thanks.

Saw this on Saturday night for first time on my way to Kings Cross, have to say I really like it, and I think will become an icon of a new railway age.

I'll go for 1, for the diagonal line running top left to bottom right. I don't really know St P, must make a detour next time in London!

#1 again lol.... like the angle you've taken this from and it sounds 'huge'.... love how the light reflects on the statue showing off lovely tones.
