The Lowry

Evening shot of The Lowry, a waterside building housing theatres, galleries and restaurants, situated on Pier 8 at Salford Quays in Salford, Greater Manchester, UK. Named after the early 20 century painter LS Lowry known for his paintings of industrial scenes in North West England.

Very well observed and composed shot, the blue light reflected off the dark paving leads into the picture very well along with all people moving towards.

Super shot - great composition and colour. I really like the symmetry. When I look at this image it makes me want to walk up and go inside.

Glad you like it Colleen, and the great thing is all the attractions are free! The art galleries, the Imperial War Museum North, the views of the waterside/canal, the beautiful modern architecture, the BBC HQ, the two bridges are quite spectacular, the Lowry, and the Media City bridge, the former is a lifting bridge and the letter is a swing bridge......
