My first car back in 1970 (second-hand and you could see the road through the floor well). Lovely capture, James.

I've driven a Mini Moke during holidays. I think its French cousin, Citroën Méhari was more fun 😲😀

Just a classic. I had one. It leaked. Would not go in the rain. Rusted. Moss grew on the sliding windows.
Pure genius engineering.................eventually.

My dad loved minis, and had two (not a the same time!). Would have been in my teens / early twenties at the time. A fine collection here, have to go for the lead, just 'cos red's my favourite colour! 😃👍

I had one many decades ago. Rubber start button on the floor - the floor leaked like a sieve, too. Marvellous fun to drive, and despite my 6'4" I fitted in a lot better than in many a larger car!

My father had a very early (he sold them!) sliding windows. floor starter and big door pockets. The reason the floor leaked was because the panels were welded the wrong way round (soon rectified).

To keep your Mini going in the rain - plastic bag over the spark plugs and distributor; make sure the petrol tank breather pipe wasn't pointing at the rear wheel (the spray caused a waterlock by capillary action, creating a partial vacuum in the tank)
