Lovely shot, like the depth of field and the reflection of the 2 geese on the water. I understand what you mean about the filter, I like version 2 and 3, because where the focus is sharp it draws you attention to it, and then when you look again you see what else is in the image that you didnít see at first, although not sharp, still sets the scene.

Grand capture well done.

I think that they're a very nice set of images.
The lead works beautifully for me.

Despite your misgivings these work well, Sandy. I'll I go for V4, I think.
When I first used a Lensbaby my 'hit rate' was much the same. Experimentation can be fun Smile

This particular filter works best when images are taken from a height, looking down on a scene. Like a street scene with traffic taken from a 3rd or 4th floor vantage point, for example.

Intriguing... It certainly works on the lead (so well chosen!) but I'm less sure on the others. For me, this sort of effect processed-in needs to be credible in terms of depth of field, or else to have a deliberately weird look. V1, where the focus on individual upright timbers varies from top to bottom simply looks wrong to me. Others may be less narrow-minded, but that's how it looks to me...

Interesting shots Sandy, although not sure what the camera as trying to achieve with this filter.
Will have to gen up on the specs.

I don't know about in-camera, but my Photoshop Elements has an effect for producing images like this, the shallow depth of field in the central area supposedly to give the feel of a real-life scene being a miniature. Good efforts here though, Sandy, and have to go for V2 & V4 as my faves 😀👍

Thanks Malc, I see what you mean. I've bookmarked that and am looking forward to reading more.

Several have liked V4 best. I've cropped so much of the blur off and desaturated it where there's hardly any of the filter left. It was sooooo bad.

I will try it again but when the scene seems more appropriate. Thanks you all for such helpful comments.

The blur and the clear band very noticeable in V1 - think this could be very annoying. On the plus side though you have captured some great images.
