On a great trip to Donna Nook last week, Mike(Greyheron)
and I were lucky enough to witness the birth of an Atlantic Grey Seal pup (Halichoerus grypus), which took place only a few feet away from the viewing area. There was a bitterly cold North wind blowing and one cannot but wonder why nature dictates that these initially fragile little creatures are born on a desolate, windswept beach in November and December! This is a full frame capture.
My thanks to you all for your support of my last upload with special thanks
to Cathy(Holmewood) and Norman(Lynks) for their User Awards
. All very much appreciated
