This is a tricky shot for the camera, which can't be expected to have the dynamic range of the human eye. Here, its meter has tried to average out the exposure across the image, and consequently has overexposed the brightest part - the moon. I don't know what facilities your camera has, but if it has spot metering, you could spot meter on the moon to bring out more detail there. Alternatively, you could adjust the exposure compensation, if there is a control for that, or meter manually to get the effect you're after. If you want detail in the foreground as well as the moon, then two or more shots, taken on a tripod, exposed for the moon and the foreground and combined in post processing, will give you creative control - there are many videos on Youtube which will describe how to do that. It's a nicely composed shot and worth revisiting.
Good luck, Allan
