The muses on the wharf

By marktc
This is OXO wharf behind the OXO Tower. There are a number of shops on the ground floor. This is probably going to bomb as no matter how i tried I couldn't get the verticals and horizontals to line up, however the brick work and the names of the Greek Muses appealed. Once again a quick grab on my trusty coolpix s3100.

Have a good evening all and enjoy what remains of the weekend, with a little luck I'll be able to get out and about next weekend...

Oh, they're bricks! I was trying to make it out before reading your blurb - it's very well seen and captured. I thought it was containers for a while, then I didn't know at all. In fact I'm still not sure what I'm looking at, but I do like a puzzle. Smile

Are those white things lamps? If so, the size is really deceptive.

Nice rythm and textures. For lining up the verticals and horizontals you could download the trial version of DxO Optics Pro7 for free (one month) and try their amazingly simple squaring tool.
It can also be done in Photoshop if you have that, through "distort".

Thanks for V2 Mark. Very interesting. I must have a look behind buildings during my future outings. You never know what you're going to find. Smile

Mark, this did not bomb with me. This is my kind of shot. Nicely captured.
If you want to straighten out the verticals, there is a transform function in Photoshop that should do the trick.
Write me if you need details -- however, a lot of tutorials are available on line.

Muses indeed! Grin Excellent and very well spotted! I like V1 as a good symetric abstract! IB

Not bombed Mark.
Like the fuller V2 again as so much interest there
maybe a person in 'red' could have walked the stairs for you??
but both interesting images
and think maybe your next weekend has been taken over!!Wink

I love this wall (put it up myself some time ago) - well done, it's not easy; I had problems too, but it's irresistible as it's such an interesting find.
