The Music Man

By Disee
Pentax K1000, same day walking through The North Lanes. I took photos of this Busker from two totally different angles -
In this photo he was setting himself up to pose for me but I caught him quickly before he did so.
In the other Version I stood back to take in the busy background putting him into perspective to his station.

Thanks for looking and if you have time, I would love to read your comments.

I like the lead image far more than the version. I suppose you could be at his level when you went to shoot him from afar so as the "leaning" wall would not look as leaning.
Which film did you use? Was it a black and white or did you turn it to mono later?
Good to see people using film 😊

Hi Pablo,
Many thanks for your comment. I have to admit to not knowing the wall was leaning in the 'Version' image.
For these images I used Ilford HP5 Plus ISO 400 B&W film and they have not had any post processing in Photoshop, only scanned.
I do have a small collection of film cameras recently acquired which are all loaded with the B&W Ilford HP5 film to test them out.
As I said, I'm just so enjoying using film.

I love this musician's throw on his chair - all he needs is a flask of coffee now!

Thank you Kate - and all just to keep him warm. I was delighted to see how clearly the throw came out in this photograph.
