"The Music Room"

By RonnieAG
This is the Music Room of the House for an Art Lover in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park: it is the room in which the meal was served at our younger daughter's wedding back in August.
The House and it's decor are Charles Rennie Macintosh in style, although the House was not in fact built until many decades after his death.
V 2 is a closer inspection of the detail above the piano.

Many thanks for the comments on A Highland Scene, and with special thanks to Trev {achieverswales}, Graham {digital_boi} and Trev {TrevBatWCC} for their User Awards which are much appreciated.

Ronnie.

I recognised it in the thumbnail - what an amazing venue for a wedding! V1 conveys the lightness and simplicity - it must have seemed quite extraordinarily adventurous after Edwardian clutter. It still seems modern even a century on.

Love the composition and those crisp vertical lines in V1, Ronnie. Has 3D qualities for me - one feels one is actually in that room.

Macintosh was a visionary, and his work must have been especially strange at the time.
This is a gorgeous example and tribute to his work.

I thought it was a bedroom at first, Ronnie, thought the piano was the bed.............must go to Specsavers!
This is one of my favourite furniture styles, and the detail in V2 is exquisite.
It looks bright and airy, and I love those wall panels.

Both are very well executed photographs Ronnie and I imagine them forming part of your Daughter's wedding album.
CRM's designs are still copied today, in many forms. The man has been an inspiration to designers, artists and architects for over 100 years.
A pleasure to see these images.
