the naked truth..........

By sawsengee
Portrait of an old naga sadhu.......the scene captured in the early hours where he had just bathed in the holy water of the River Ganges & drying himself in the sun before smearing his semi-naked body with ashes from burnt offerings. It was a picture of peace, contemplation & self-motivation but oooops, there was a fly on his shoulder which he would not swat (kill) because of his religious nature & his embodiment of non-violence. Here are links to further understand the lifestyle of a naga sadhu:
p.s. I sat through his entire process of physical transformation including his totally naked body which I did capture a few shots (too rudimentary & not so glamorous pose Blush). Click on the image for a better enlarged view.
THANK YOU hobbo (Cyril) for the UA & to those who commented, voted, my deep appreciation for your continual support. GrinGrinGrin

Ee You have done it again.......almost entering the soul of your chosen subject.....the teachings and thoughts of whom I donít think I will ever understand; whilst, at the same time, acknowledging his Faith and Teachings.

You yourself must posses a very special way of approaching and then communicating with fellow humans.

Quote:The naked truth is always better than the best dressed lie

I like this quote Leo_Nid, I think though, the anatomy of the truth would influence whether one wants the truth or not. Wink

Hi ee, there's something extra in this portrait, it engages me. I think it maybe the combined effect of the light and the wonderful pose. I think Karsh would be envious! Wink
