The Need for Speed - Then & Now

By Debs_Rocker
I love the contrast between two top fighting aircraft separated by over 60 years in development.
At this years RAF Waddington airshow the Spitfire & Eurofighter Typhoon carried out a display sequence - normally with two such disimilar aircraft, one being a supersonic jet and the other a WW2 Prop, the flypasts are normally a chase scene so when they started doing some crossing maneouvers I really wanted to catch them in the same frame with the props on the Spit still blurred by movement and the Typhoon still distinguishable as an aircraft! Hopefully I have done justice to the grace of the Spitfire and the Sheer awesome power of the Typhoon. All comments gratefully received.

Fantastic shot Deb's and a good write up. I make parts for the Typhoon, and it's great to see it inflight and on the ground. But what a great chance shot this is.
