The Net Curtain

By Fefe
A change today.
Taken at the weekend, the first time I have seen the sea since February TongueTongue
It was wavy and very windy.....well isn't it always whenever I go anywhere? I think it s ordered especially Wink
This is North Landing, Flamborough.
I hope you like it. Please view large. The version in colour.

Thank you all so much for your interest and helpful comments on my still life images, and all the UA's, so pleased they went down so well SmileSmileSmile

I like both Diane, each has it's own atmosphere.
I remember many holidays spent at North Landing, hours spent exploring the caves and watching the life boat launching from the beach...very pebbly if I remember rightly.

It used to be very pebbly....on this visit all the beach was sand...we were amazed. It was about half tide so maybe the pebbles were all further out. If they have all gone they must be a whole heap of pebbles somewhere along the coast .

A lovely scene Diane. I think the mono hangs together better tonally, emphasizing the sea and the sky. The chalk cliffs dominate in the colour version. On balance I prefer the mono.

A lovely sense of depth to this shot. I envy you being there, cold wind and all. Smile

Beautiful seascape Diane, both in mono and colour, the lead adds more drama to the scene ,for me.

I think I prefer colour in this. The waves seem to be stronger and more forceful.

Both very striking, Diane, the mono just has the edge for me. Beautiful images.

I agree; the strong colour in the cliff initially distracts eye from the real subject - those magnificent waves.

Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party!!!! Lovely image but it has to be the mono for me, it really does emphasise the drama of the sea and just oozes atmosphere.

Well composed Diane. I like that the retreating wave in the foreground leads into the shot and the incoming waves. Good one. (Not much faffing here then!) Prefer the black and white by the way.Grin

Not seen the sea since I sailed off to the Isle of Man back in March! Don't know when I'll ever get to see it again 😢 No mistaking the distinctive shape of the cliffs here at Flamborough. Not been there for years, last time was on a Camera Club annual outing there and to Bempton - looking it up, it was back in 1995.
A lovely capture here, Diane, though nice in mono, have to go for the colour! 😃👍
