The Odeon

By cattyal
I managed to get a shot of the Odeon Cinema yesterday as happily this time there was no white van blocking the way and even better, very little traffic going by.

I've learned to embrace the lens flare - it's inevitable with a lens like this and although occasionally I decrease the intensity, this time it stays in all its glory......

The fisheye does tend to open one's eyes to what's out there, and to what works and what doesn't. This does, flare and all. I've added a mod, trying to emphasise the neglect of the building.

Thanks everyone Smile Thanks too for the mod Bill - it's such a shame the building is standing there doing nothing but no-one seems to want it!

If anyone is interested here 28dayslater is a link to a thread which shows some images from inside.

Presumably - it's been so many years since I last went there I really can't remember Smile I've never been to the big new multiplex and have no intention of doing so either.

I used to go to the midnight shows at the Odeon - stuff like Rocky Horror and the Blues Brothers - they were fun and a bit noisy!

Thanks again folks. I do love this lens - it's going to get a right hammering in Edinburgh for the next fortnight Smile
